Instructor
Dr. Lerner is a Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedists and the American Academy of Pain Management. He is also a fellow of the Academy of Forensic and Industrial Chiropractic Consultants and the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists. Dr. Lerner has been in private practice since 1980. He has a comprehensive background performing Independent Medical Examinations/Functional Capacity Evaluations and providing peer reviews for insurer/medical/legal affiliations. His company, Lerner Education, is a Provider for the California Division of Worker’s Compensation Medical Unit for Qualified Medical Evaluator education programs. Dr. Lerner received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Toronto and his Doctorate in Chiropractic from the Southern California University of Health Sciences - Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. He also earned a Doctorate of Philosophy in Electromedical Sciences from City University Los Angeles School of Electromedical Sciences. To bypass this course and move straight to Mid-Level Functional Capacity Evaluation and Assessment, the Introduction to Functional Testing, Evaluation and Assessment competency test must be taken without assistance or research and the attendee must score a minimum of 85%. Tests must be received by JTECH no later than 3 weeks prior to the Module Two class date. |

Fred N. Lerner, DC, PhD, FACO is a chiropractic orthopedist in Beverly Hills, California. He also maintains staff privileges with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and was the first Doctor of Chiropractic on staff there. Prior to joining Cedars-Sinai, Dr. Lerner served as Director of Physical Therapy at Spalding Orthopedic Rehabilitative Therapy in Beverly Hills. He works in a multidisciplinary setting with spine surgeons, physiatrists and other specialists.
