JTECH Education and Training | FCE Hands-On Training and Certification Course
FCE Course Functional Capacity Evaluations
Hands-On Workshop and Certification Course

This seminar goes beyond simply teaching about Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs) and explaining the concepts. During this course you will actually conduct an FCE from beginning to end and participate as a patient for a fellow evaluator. You will leave this hands-on course with a broader perspective on the entire FCE process and greater confidence in your FCE skills!

Why learn to perform FCEs?
  • FCEs are the best tool for assessing a person's ability to safely perform tasks
  • Expand clinic services and revenue stream
  • Expose your clinic to new patients through referring doctors, employers and their employees
  • Help employers reduce costs by reducing the risk of worker re-injury
  • Help motivated workers get back to work by identifying return-to-work barriers and possible job modifications for reasonable accommodation
  • Assist in case closure and build relationships with insurance companies
Leave this seminar with the knowledge to:
  • Perform a safe and defensible FCE from planning through reporting
  • Set FCE parameters by choosing appropriate tests, outcomes assessment tools and other evaluative methods
  • Apply acquired or improved skills to actual test administration
  • Objectively assess sincerity of patient effort
  • Skillfully and actively observe throughout the FCE to determine the validity of objective findings
  • Create efficient and defensible reports with final assessments and recommendations that contribute directly to case resolution
